Today Is a Good Day

His mercies are new this morning. That is not a slogan. It is the only reason some of us got out of bed.

Jeremiah writes this from wreckage, not from a quiet office. New mercies do not wait for a better week. They arrive in the night-watch and name the day before we do.

So call it: today is a good day. Not because everything is easy, but because mercy got here first. Walk into the hours you have been given. Something good can still grow here.
