The Garden of the Mind

Your mind is a battleground, but it is also a garden. What you plant grows.

The invitation is not to empty your thoughts. It is to tend them. Refuse the weed. Water what is true, honorable, and lovely until it bears fruit in the rest of your life.

Paul does not tell the church at Philippi to think harder. He tells them to think on what is worthy of the God who is already with them. That is not denial. That is discipleship of the inner room.

Today, plant something that can live. A verse. A thank-you. A person you will not give up on. Then watch what God grows in the soil you thought was only a fight.
