Expect Something Good

Faith is not optimism with a Bible verse attached. It is a decision to live as if God is still writing.

David says he believes he will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living — not only in heaven, not only later, but here. Expectation is not a personality. It is a posture.

Today is a good day. We expect something good, not because the circumstances earned it, but because He is good. That is the faith LifeSong was planted in, and it is the faith that still holds.

If the morning feels thin, say it anyway: I am expecting something good. Then take the next faithful step as if it were already on the way.
